Throughout my life I have battled with my weight. It would constantly go up and down, not just by 5kgs a time, but by 20kg and 40kg a time. I don't remember ever being the same weight for more than 3 months. My knee and ankle injuries couldn't cope carrying around all that weight and I was slowly running out of clothes in my wardrobe. I knew at-home personal training worked for me once, having a trainer come to my house gave me no excuses not to turn up for a session, so I was on the lookout for someone to help me on the journey, yet again. Finding the right personal trainer is key and from the start John challenged me, pushed me, and never let me give up. He constantly supports me, analyses my weekly food diaries, guides and inspires me, shares motivation on my low days and celebrates with high fives on my good days. The D65 Fitness philosophy has given me a healthier relationship with food and i've learnt how to make my body strong, but more importantly, make my mind stronger. Adding D65 Bootcamp to the mix and participating with my husband has intensified my training and, showed me I can do things I never thought I was capable of. Im only halfway into this journey, my ultimate goal is to get that 40kg off and keep it off. With what I have learnt through D65 Fitness, I know it is a lifestyle I can maintain for the long term and not fall back into old habits. Having lost 17kg so far, I know I will get there, and John and Fee will be right there beside me, 100% of the way.
